Richard E. (Rick) Barnes | President and Managing Partner
Richard E. (Rick) Barnes is the founder and managing partner of CIC Realty. Rick has been successful in the acquisition, development, leasing and sales of income producing commercial real estate space in major markets across the country for over forty years. Through multiple real estate cycles since 1978, he has provided guidance to investors on portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, with an emphasis on wealth preservation and risk avoidance.
In his 40+ year career, Mr. Barnes has been a managing partner for the development of a 1.4 million square foot - $300 million national office and retail portfolio of properties and has managed the redevelopment of a five-property - $120 million retail portfolio of space in New England for an institutional investor. He has developed space for such leading merchants as Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Staples, TJ Maxx, Petco, Super Stop & Shop, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreen’s and Fresenius Medical Care.

Janet Barnes leads CIC’s Operations, overseeing finance and asset management for CIC and its related entities. Her expertise includes contract compliance, financial processes and reporting, investor and financial institution management, as well as corporate structuring.
Janet is also managing Partner of Seaside-Front Street, LLC, a commercial and multi-family property company. She has previously served on numerous executive boards for non-profit and for profit organizations. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science Degree, she has been a licensed real estate broker for more than 30 years. Having owned and operated two commercial real estate companies, she is well-versed in both development and brokerage.

Jenna builds and directs the marketing and communication efforts for CIC. With a prodigious reputation for intuitive customer satisfaction, she leads the team to successfully develop respectful partnerships. She is a graduate of the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, where she received a degree in Business and Sports Marketing. Jenna is continuously enhancing her skills in marketing and public relations, where she stays on top of rapidly changing trends in consumer behavior and expectations, marketing techniques, creative copy and design.
Prior to joining CIC, Jenna spent a decade thriving as an international hospitality specialist based between Europe, the US, and the Caribbean. Having also owned a female-run luxury and bespoke hospitality company, she knows what it takes to get the job done.

Joseph (Joey) Compton
Consultant | Principal, CYHG, Antigua W.I.
CICRC has formed a strategic alliance with the Caribbean-based company, Compton Yacht and Hospitality Group, headquartered in Antigua, W.I. Principle, Joey Compton, focuses on property and asset management and is currently working on CICRC’s expansion into international ventures. He trained under CIC’s president, Rick Barnes after coming out of 15 years in the international super yacht industry.
Joey focuses on both commercial and tourism focused assets in the Caribbean and currently charting a course to help set CICRC apart by working with the Citizenship by Investment program to offer added benefits to our investors in overseas portfolios.
